A method for processing a header compressed packet in a wireless communication system, a terminal, a base station, and a control station are provided to identify whether the packet header is compressed or not and classify IP flow separated from compression context identifier by using IP flow and mapping information of header compressed context identifier. A method for processing a header compressed packet in a wireless communication system, a terminal, a base station, and a control station comprises following processes. The CSN(Connectivity Service Network)(102) transmits a ROHC(Robust Header Compression) downlink packet to a terminal(120). The terminal transmits ROHC uplink packet to CSN. CSN conducts authentication, authorization and accounting functions for ASN(Access Service Network)(108) and the terminal, and makes network service policy and billing rule. ASN carries out connection setup function for wireless interface and layer-2 between the terminal and a base station, network discovery and network selection function, and a pass-through function for the terminal to Layer-3 and radio resource management function to support mobility of the terminal. An ASN- GW(Access Service Network Gateway)(110) performs a ROHC compression to the downlink packet and transmits the result to a base station(118), and then decompresses ROHC uplink packet and transmits the result to CSN. |
