A cellulose acylate film is provided to be useful for a liquid-crystal display device employing the cellulose acylate film having a large absolute value of Re and a small absolute value of Rth. A cellulose acylate film comprises a composition containing at least one cellulose acylate having an aromatic group-containing acyl group (substituent A), in which a substitution degree with the substituent A satisfies the following relational expressions (I): -0.25 <= DSA2+DSA3-DSA6 <= 0.20 and (II): 0.35 <= DSA2+DSA3+DSA6, wherein DSA2, DSA3 and DSA6 indicate a substitution degree with substituent A at the 2-, 3- and 6-positions of the cellulose acylate.
