DISPLAY APPARATUS AND DRIVE METHOD THEREOF

A display apparatus and a driving method thereof are provided to input and display required image information without using a switching element or an exclusive driver for high potential difference. A display unit includes a display panel(110). A plurality of display pixels are arranged in the display panel. The display state of the display pixel is changed by an electric field between a pair of electrodes(111,113) to face each other. A light emitting unit includes a light emitting panel with a plurality of light emitting pixels corresponding to the plurality of display pixels. A controller controls the display state of the display pixel of the display panel by making the arbitrary light emitting pixel of the light emitting panel emit the light.
