An optical element coating member, a backlight and a liquid crystal display device are provided to suppress the light leakage as preventing the coated member from being extended, twisted or wrinkled, and the non-uniformity of brightness. An optical element coating member(2) comprises at least one optical element(24) for diffusing or concentrating the light emitted from a lighting device(1) to change the optical property. A support body(23) supports at least one optical element. A coating member(22) wraps at least one optical element and the support body to integrate them into one body. The optical element is installed at one of the incident surface and emission surface of the support body. The support body and at least one optical element are stacked.
