A storage container 1 for pelletised material comprises a main housing 2 formed by an upper housing part 3 and a lower housing part 4 secured by screws 5, both housing parts 3,4 being rotationally moulded. The upper housing part 3 and the lower housing part 4 together define a primary hollow interior region 6 which terminates at its lower end in an inwardly downwardly inclined side wall 21 which in turn terminates in a primary outlet 42. A sub-housing 45 defining an outlet chamber 52 is located beneath the inner side wall 21. The outlet chamber 52 communicates with the primary hollow interior region 6 through a primary orifice plate 65. A primary isolating plate 67 selectively closes a primary orifice 66 in the primary orifice plate 65 for selectively isolating the outlet chamber 52 from the primary hollow interior region 6. A lever 69 extending from the primary isolating plate 67 facilitates pivoting the primary isolating plate 67 between an open and closed state. First and second outlet ports 56,59 in the sub-housing 45 accommodate a conveying auger into the outlet chamber 52 for conveying pelletised material from the outlet chamber 52. First and second auger accommodating slots 57,60 in an outer side wall 20 of the lower housing part 4 accommodate the conveying auger from a selected one of the first and second outlet ports 56,59. |
