A method for the visualization of the intravascular atherosclerotic plaques comprises the ultrasonic examination of the coronary arteries. The atherosclerotic plaques are located with the aid of coronarography. Then the coronary arteries are examined by the intravascular sonography. The clinical significance of the sizes of the atherosclerotic plaques is assessed judging by the coronarography findings and the intravascular sonography. |
