A recommendation keyword providing system for a program searching method providing recommending search words based on the use history of a user for the bidirectional broadcast terminal and a method thereof are provided to search a program by offering search word recommendation and analyzing search logs. A usage history DB(215) collects the use history of a user. The program research log DB(211) stores the search logs relating to the broadcasting program. A program search word recommending unit(220) generates produces search word recommendation data by analyzing use history and search log. Search word recommendation data is generated based on the audition flat and viewing time zone of a user.
