The mounting element (11) comprises a shaft, which has a holding section (16) for attaching an insulation board in an end area (14). A rotary carriage (21) is provided openly on front side of the shaft in the end area of the shaft containing the holding section for a setting tool. The setting tool is formed by an arrangement of adjacent engaging grooves (26) and engaging flaps (27). A clearance cross-section of the rotary carriage has a cross-sectional construction.
