Class 63 [Also in Group XV] A puppet figure of which the attitude and posture can be altered by distorting a core within the figure is constructed from two superposed flexible plastic sheets 3, 4 welded together at their edges to form an envelope or sheath into which a soft iron wire core 6 is inserted through holes provided in one of the sheets. Alternatively the core may be laid on the lower sheet 4 and covered by the upper sheet after which the sheets are welded together. The core may comprise a number of metal wires welded or otherwise fastened together. A core may be placed between two sheets of material and contour welded and contour punched in a single operation by means of a combined profiled welding die and cutting tool. The outer surface of the sheets may be provided with signs or coloured patterns appropriate to the article represented. Animals, flowers and toys are also specified.</p> |
