METHOD FOR TREATING THROMBOSED SAPHENOUS VEINS

A method for treating thrombosed saphenous veins comprises the isolation of the major trunk of the great saphenous vein by tunneling following the ligation of the great saphenous vein at the site of its inflow into the femoral vein. The tunneling is performed under the endoscopic control. The endoscope with the dissector is inserted through the skin cut in the inguinal area at the site of the projection of entrance of the great saphenous vein. The thrombosed vein is removed along the entire length without the damage of the skin. The hemostasis is performed carefully.
