SERVER FOR SEARCHING ERROR POINT OF ROAD NETWORK IN NAVIGATION SYSTEM AND METHOD THEREOF

A server and a method for searching an error point of road network data for navigation are provided to improve reliability of road network information by sensing a network error and reflecting the network error to the existing road network information. A first path request signal including position information is received from a first navigation device using a navigation service(S401). A searching track is generated by arranging the received position information according to time sequence(S403). The searching track is compared with the previously stored road network information(S404). If the searching track is not included in the previously stored road network information, the current position grasped as the searching track is registered for a survey candidate position(S406). The shortest or optimum path from the current position to the destination is searched by applying the searching track and the destination information in a road database(S407). The searched path is provided(S408).
