A method for treating the postoperative ventral hernia in the aged males provides for Hartmann surgery I the saggy scrotum for obtaining the flap of the autologous skin. The testicles are maximally displaced upwards up to 1-2 cm. Lower, the forceps is applied to the free part of the scrotum, the saggy scrotum is cut along the lower edge of the forceps. Then the forceps is removed. The wound of the scrotum is sewed completely. The resected part of the scrotum is treated according to Janov and used for the closure of the hernial defect with the fixation of the skin graft.
