<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for detecting a splicing variant. <P>SOLUTION: The method for detecting the splicing variant in which at least a part of exon regions is deleted in aged mRNA synthesized by connecting a plurality of exon regions comprises a first step for hybridizing a first probe labeled with a first labeled substance with a sample to be detected of the mRNA, a second step for hybridizing a second probe labeled with a second labeled substance with the sample to be detected after the first step, a third step for ligating the first probe to the second probe in the sample to be detected after the second step, a fourth step for treating the sample to be detected after third step by a nuclease specific to a single strand and a fifth step for measuring amounts of the first labeled substance and the second labeled substance, each of which labels the first probe and the second probe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO&NCIPI |
