<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomic nerve examination apparatus which uses heart rate variability with increased accuracy. <P>SOLUTION: The autonomic nerve examination apparatus is equipped with a signal detector for detecting an electrocardiographic signal from the body of a subject; an A/D converter for converting the output signal; a peak detector for detecting an R point or the like of the electrocardiographic signal from the output signal; a time analyzer furnished with a noise remover for removing a noise from the output signal and with a time operator for calculating a mean heart rate turbulence according to the output signal of the noise remover; a frequency analyzer for calculating intensity at a very low frequency region from the output signal of the electrocardiographic signal; a data base for storing data to determine the standard range of an Oriental in terms of sex, age and parameter; and a parameter analyzer for comparing to determine whether parameters output by the time analyzer or the frequency analyzer are within the standard range or not. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
