摘要 <p>A method for manufacturing a liquid crystal display device is provided to form the second ohmic contact pattern after pixel electrode evaporation and patterning processes, thereby preventing film contamination of an active pattern and lowering of properties of a thin film transistor. A gate line(12b) and a data line(11a) intersect in a substrate. A thin film transistor(T) is a switching element. The thin film transistor is arranged on an intersection point where the gate line and data line intersect. A gate insulating layer is formed between the gate line and the data line. A pixel electrode(19) of a plate shape is formed on a pixel area defined by the intersection of the gate line and the data line. The pixel electrode is overlapped with a drain electrode(11c) without a contact hole penetrating a passivation layer to directly contact with the drain electrode. The passivation layer is formed on the thin film transistor and the pixel electrode.</p>
