A melamine resin composition for forming thermosetting coating and a method for producing the same composition are provided to ensure high transparency, scratch resistance, pressure resistance, and abrasion resistance by reacting melamine, formalin, and para formalin. A method for producing a melamine resin composition for forming thermosetting coating comprises a step for mixing the predetermined melamine, formalin of smaller amount than that of melamine, para formalin of smaller amount than that of formalin, and methanol of the same amount as the formalin; a step for adding the predetermined sodium carbonate to the mixture; a step for adding the predetermined ammonia solution to the reactant; and a step for stopping all reactions by confirming whether the transparency of the reactant reaches the desired level. |
