A home appliance using the water selectively reacting to an error is provided to preferentially react to a water leakage error or an overflow error if the appliance detecting the errors. A home appliance using the water selectively reacting to an error comprises: a water tub(40) serving the space in which the water is used; an overflow detecting sensor(300) sensing the overflow of the water tub; an error detecting sensor detecting the error of the home appliance; a controller preferentially performing the reaction for the overflow error if it determines the error and the overflow error both; and a drainage pump(90) for discharging the water in the water tub.
