A multimedia file structure, and a multimedia file generating/executing method and apparatus are provided to prevent errors from being generated when a media resource is reproduced in case item numbers for indicating time-sequenced media resources and media resources which are not time-sequenced in the multimedia file are overlapped. A media data generating unit(510) receives video data, audio data and JPEG image files and then stores them as media data. A track data generating unit(520) gives a track number to a time-sequenced media resource among the media resources comprising the media data. A metadata generating unit(530) gives item numbers to media resources comprising media data. A filing unit(540) collects the media data, track data and metadata to generate a multimedia file according to a multimedia file structure. |
