RELIABLE AND LOW-LATENCY SENSOR NETWORK MAC SYSTEM AND METHOD USING SUPERFRAME

A real time sensor network MAC(Media Access Control) communication system and a communication method thereof are provided to reduce power consumption in the multi-hop transmission in a system level. A super frame includes an active section(210) and a slip section(220). The communication is performed in an active section. The communication is not performed in a slip section. The active section includes a beacon block(211) and a forwarding block(213). The beacon block allocates the beacon slot to each beacon transmission node. The beacon slot represents the time period transmitting a beacon frame. The forwarding block allocates the slot to a sink node. The sink node transmits data of the sink node and the data of sensor nodes to an adjacent sink node and a base station in the allocated slot.
