METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PROVIDING A SUBSTITUTE IMAGE SERVICE

A method and a system for providing a substitute image service are provided to supply the substitute image service according to a location of a terminal. A switchboard asks a location checking unit about whether a substitutive image is necessary when an originating call is a video call(S204). If location information of an originating terminal is needing a substitutive image, the switchboard requests a substitutive image service to a media processing server. If a media stream is transmitted from the originating terminal, the media processing server substitutes a searched substitute image for video data of the media stream(S212).
