A trimming tool for an edge banding machine is provided to automatically cut an edge band according to the thickness of a panel carried by a first compression spring. A trimming tool for an edge banding machine comprises a frame(100) vertically fastened to a conveyor carrying an edge band attached panel; an elevating block(200) elastically supported through a first compression spring toward the carried panel; a level block(300) deflected in order for one side to face the panel, elastically supported through a second compression spring toward the carried panel; a vertical roller(400) rotatably installed to one side of the level block in order to press the carried panel and support it; a guide block(500) attached to the lower end of the level block; and a level roller(600) installed to the underside of the guide block in order to contact with the edge surface of the carried panel.
