A solar cell using a composite thin film of amorphous silicon and nano-crystalline silicon, and a fabrication method thereof are provided to reduce the manufacturing cost by using a printing technique under atmospheric pressure ambience. A solar battery comprises composite thin films(502,503,504). The composite thin film is comprised of the amorphous silicon and crystalline silicon. The composite thin film is arranged on a substrate(500). The composite thin film is silicon semiconductor layers which is doped or undoped.
