A dual-sonication system and a method of preparing 5-ortho-tolylpentene using the same are provided to increase the conversion ratio of ortho-xylene and selectiveity of 5-ortho-tolylpentene, by enhancing the dispersion and activity of an alkali metal catalyst. A dual-sonication system for 5-ortho-tolylpentene by reacting ortho-xylene and 1,3-butadiene with an alkali metal catalyst, includes the first sonicator(170) treating ortho-xylene and the alkali metal catalyst with ultrasonic waves; and the second sonicator(180) having the supersonic output lower than that of the first sonicator. |
