A personal area network system and a beacon scheduling method thereof are provided to perform scheduling so that beacon transmission periods of respective coordinators are not collided, thereby removing possibility of beacon collision. Beacon time slot information of coordinators transmitting a beacon signal is received(S10). An interval of a time slot to which the beacon signal is not transmitted is determined as a new beacon time slot based on the beacon time slot information. An additional beacon time slot message for requesting addition of the new beacon time slot is transmitted to the coordinators(S20,S30). The beacon time slot information includes beacon transmission time of a coordinator sending the beacon time slot information and beacon transmission time of a coordinator which is one-hop relation with the coordinator sending the beacon time slot information.
