A METHOD FOR PREPARING PROTEIN CONCENTRATE FROM RICE BRAN

A method for preparing protein extract from rice bran is provided to produce protein matterials of high quality and high purity by using rice bran which is highly nutritional by-products in a rice polishing process. A method for preparing protein extract from rice bran comprises (a) a step for preparing a rice bran pellet by using rice bran as a raw material; (b) a step for drying the rice bran pellet; (c) a step for preparing the defatted rice bran by extracting rice oil from the dried rice bran pellet; (d) a step for extracting protein from the defatted rice bran; (e) a step for collecting protein by precipitating the filtrate; and (f) a step for washing the collected protein with water, neutralizing and spray-drying the protein.
