A liquid crystal display device is provided to stabilize texture rapidly having a notch on a control electrode even though thickness of a pixel electrode insulating film gets thinner. A color filter and a pixel electrode(82) are formed on a thin film transistor display panel. A pair of the first and second gate electrodes are formed on a gate line. A storage wire(28) is horizontally straight in parallel with the gate line on the first insulating substrate. A pair of semiconductor layers(40a,40b) are made of hydrogenated amorphous silicon or polycrystalline silicon. The semiconductor layers on the gate insulating film. The first and second data lines(62a,62b) and the first and second drain electrodes(66a,66b) are formed on an ohmic contact layer and the gate insulating film.
