A power control system and method of the electronic device can control the power source of the electronic device with the small-capacity backup battery without supplying the power to the display. The voltage controller(10) detects the input voltage of the power source which is input from outside. The power is supplied according to the detected input voltage and it blocks. The backup battery(20) supplies the power source to the system composition part if the power source is blocked by the voltage controller. The power control unit(30) receives the power source from the voltage controller or the backup battery and supplies the power source to the system composition part. In case the detected input voltage is the set range outside, the voltage controller blocks the electric power supply about the display unit(50).
