A recipient state information providing system and a method thereof are provided to easily display a state of a recipient by text information and voice information, thereby enabling a caller to check the state of the recipient easily. A database unit(400) stores state information of a subscriber by a character and voice. If a calling signal is received from a caller terminal(110), an information managing unit(210) controls to receive the state information of a recipient correspondingly to a caller terminal. A character state information transmitting unit(240) transmits the state information of the recipient in a character type to the caller terminal according to the control of the information managing unit. A voice state information transmitting unit(250) transmits the state information of the recipient of the voice type to the caller terminal according to the control of the information managing unit.
