SINGLE GAP TRANSFLECTIVE LIQUID CRYSTAL DISPLAY

摘要

A single gap transflective liquid crystal display is provided to manufacture the single gap transflective liquid crystal display by making initial phase delay values of liquid crystal of a transmitting area and a reflecting area different, thereby removing complexity of the manufacture. A transparent electrode(3) of a conductive electrode type is coated on only a reflecting region of an upper glass substrate lower part. A common electrode(11) of the conductive electrode type is put on a transmitting area of the lower glass substrate upper part. The common electrode is coated only on the transmitting area. Also, the common electrode is coated on the reflecting area to control Cst as much as desired. The TFT can be placed in one of the reflecting area or a transmitting area because a pixel electrode and the reflecting electrode are directly connected.
