A light emitting device is provided to effectively block the moisture or the oxygen breaking from the outside by forming the first and the second absorber and the first and the second sealing material. An organic EL device(2) comprises a substrate(10), an emitting device(12), and a sealed substrate(14). The emitting device is formed on the substrate. A protective layer(16) covering the emitting device is formed between the substrate and the sealed substrate. The first absorber(18) is formed opposite to the protective layer. The protective layer is surrounded by the first sealing material(20). The first sealing material is surrounded by the second absorber(22). The second absorber is surrounded by the second sealing material(24). The sealed substrate comprises the second concave part(28) that surrounds the circumference of the first concave part and the first concave part(26). |
