FUEL INJECTION SYSTEM COMPRISING A VARIABLE FLOW RATE HIGH-PRESSURE PUMP

A fuel injection system including a variable flow rate high pressure pump is provided to operate a solenoid valve by using the same frequency as multiple or submultiple of operating frequency of a pumping element. A variable flow rate high pressure pump comprises: a suction valve(25) communicating with a suction line(10); and a pumping element(18) including a transmitting valve(30) communicating with a transmitting line(8). A throttle device(31) measures fuel amount supplied to the pumping element. The throttle device controls the flow rate of a pump(7) including a metering solenoid valve(27). The metering solenoid valve is located on the suction line. The control unit(16) controls the solenoid valve for the suction phase of the pumping element based on the operating condition of an engine(2).
