The invention comprises compounds of the general formula: <FORM:0853792/IV(b)/1> and their acid addition salts (wherein Bz is a benzothiazolyl-2-radical substituted by 1 or 2 halogen atoms, R1 and R2 are straight or branched alkylene radicals containing together not more than 6 carbon atoms, and Am a mono- or dialkylamino group containing not more than 8 carbon atoms or a pyrrolidino, piperidino or morpholino group), and the preparation thereof by reacting a compound of the general formula: Bz-NH-CO-R1-halogen with a compound of the general formula: HS-R2-Am in acetonitrile as solvent. 2-Chloroacetylamino -6 - chloro - benzothiazole is made from chloroacetylchloride and 2-amino-6-chloro-benzothiazole. 2-Amino- 4, 6-dichloro-benzothiazole is made from ammonium thio-cyanate and 2, 4-dichloro-aniline.
