The preparation of a security film for security paper comprising a translucent carrier film with a partially coated top layer comprises the preparation of the carrier film, printing of this with a high pigment printing ink, which is dried to form a colored coating (CC), the formation of a thin top layer on the printed carrier film, removal of the CC by solvent washing and mechanical action of a textile surface structure (sic), and drying and trimming of the carrier film. - Independent claims are included for the following: - (a) a safety film prepared as above; and - (b) a device for carrying out the process using a washing device which includes a textile surface structure. |
