A cylinder type secondary battery is provided to simplify the manufacturing process, to improve processability and to maintain the binding state even in the parts of the different materials while preventing the failure. A cylinder type secondary battery(100) includes an electrode assembly(110), a can(120) accommodating the electrode assembly, and a cap assembly(130) which is installed at the opening of a can and seals the can. The cap assembly the upper cap(131) delivering current to an external device, and a safety vent(132) which is installed at the lower part of the upper cap and delivers the current of the electrode assembly to the upper cap. The upper cap and the safety vent are integrally combined by the calking(132b). |
