The assembly has an exhaust gas outlet device (16) connected to an exhaust line and placed under a shield (14) of a motor vehicle (12). The device comprises a lower wall (20) and an upper wall (18) extending along the shield. The upper and lower walls are connected to each other by two side walls (22) for defining an outlet opening (24). The lower wall comprises a horizontal front portion and an upwardly raised rear end portion (28) to form an air diffuser, where the diffuser generates a depression under a floor pan of the vehicle.
