The method involves sending a graphical representation e.g. photograph, from a storing unit to a terminal (1) such as interactive terminal e.g. portable telephone. A card is generated from a computerized processing unit pre-established and controlled by a user by modifying the representation, by inserting a message, and by entering information corresponding to a recipient. The generated card is recorded on a remote server (2) connected to the terminal by a communication unit (8), and a transmission mode is selected to the recipient of the card. An independent claim is also included for a device for producing and transmitting a personalized card.
