The device (10) has a lower unit (20) for securing an eccentric tappet (5) and for sealing the tappet. The lower unit has a holding unit (21) i.e. disk formed from sheet metal, that is attached to a mandrel (2) and forming an axial stop unit for the component. The lower unit has a sealing unit (22) that is fastened opposite to the holding unit and provided with a lip, where the lip comes in attachment to a contact surface of the tappet. The sealing unit is arranged in a radial direction between the holding unit and the contact surface.
