A secondary battery is provided to solve the increased internal pressure by operating a safety vent, and to prevent the leak form or the other rupture even if external shock is applied to a battery, thereby improving the safety. A secondary battery comprises an airtight outer case formed with the accommodation space in the inner side; an electrode assembly received in the accommodation space of an outer case; a safety vent(110) formed on the one side of outer case; and a rupture induction part(120a) which contains a partial region of the safety vent, surrounds the safety vent and has more thin thickness than that of the other part of the outer case. |
