<p>An electronic device and a program download method thereof are provided to determine whether to download a program after determining whether a utility program such as the widget can be driven before downloading the utility program. A determining unit(130) receives program information about a utility program from an external device, and then determines whether the utility program can be driven. If the utility program can be driven, a controller(140) downloads the utility program and then installs it in an image forming apparatus. A storage unit(120) stores at least one of communication protocol information which can be supporting in the image forming apparatus, API Version information and interpretable program language information.</p> |
