The method involves setting a snap-fastening tab (23) with a rib (16) of a thermoplastic body element assembly (10), where the assembly has an external face (12) and an opposite interior face (14). A lateral part of the snap-fastening tab or the rib is heated using a warm air blowing unit. The snap-fastening tab and the rib are pressed towards each other by a cold tool e.g. clamp. The snap-fastening tab is extended parallely to the rib, when a thermoplastic part (20) is positioned on the thermoplastic body element assembly.
