PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air-conditioning device for a vehicle achieved in power-saving air-conditioning control by estimating the number of occupants in a vehicle cabin. SOLUTION: The air-conditioning device for the vehicle includes an air-conditioning unit 10 and an air-conditioning ECU 20 (air-conditioning means, occupant number estimating means). The air-conditioning ECU 20 is connected with a CO<SB>2</SB>sensor 35 (CO<SB>2</SB>detecting means) for detecting a CO<SB>2</SB>concentration in the vehicle cabin. The air-conditioning ECU 20 estimates the number of the occupants in the vehicle cabin according to the CO<SB>2</SB>concentration in the vehicle cabin detected by the CO<SB>2</SB>sensor 35. Further, the air-conditioning ECU 20 performs the power-saving air-conditioning control of the air-conditioning unit 10 according to the estimated number of the occupants in the vehicle cabin.
