PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To trigger the start of a special symbol game selected by a player out of the first and second special symbol games responding to the winning of a start pocket with game balls. SOLUTION: A rotary type operation handle 237 is provided with a variable resistor which detects and outputs the degree of operation. A current value outputted from the variable resistor is divided according to a threshold value and converted to low and high signals to be sent to a controller. When the game balls win the start pocket 51, the controller triggers the start of the first special game if the low signal is input or triggers the start of the second special symbol game if the high signal is input. In other words, when the game balls win the start pocket 51, the first special symbol game is displayed if the normal shooting is done with a weakened intensity of shooting the game balls.
