PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apartment building interphone system which can easily check whether broadcasting can be conducted normally when the system receives a broadcast signal showing information on the occurrence of an earthquake. SOLUTION: A master unit 2 of each room is provided with a room master unit CPU which changes the room master unit into a test mode wherein test broadcast transmitted from an earthquake information device 5 is made audible. A master unit 3 of a management office is provided with an operating portion which selects the room master unit 2 and moves it into the test mode, and a management office master unit CPU which generates a test mode transition signal by the operation of the operating portion and sends the test mode transition signal to the room master unit 2. The room master unit 2 which has received the test mode transition signal and is now in the test mode makes audible the test broadcast transmitted from the earthquake information device 5.
