METHOD OF MANUFACTURING CONTACT FOR VARIABLE RESISTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manufacture contacts for variable resistors by easily forming slits on a number of contact forming plates in a short period of time without causing burrs. SOLUTION: A carbon fiber plate 21 which is a plate mainly made of carbon fiber and synthetic resin with conductivity is cut by dicing to form a plurality of contact forming plates 27 with the same shapes. The plurality of contact forming plates 27 are stacked in the thickness direction to form a laminated body 29. A central slit 35A and two side slits 35B and 35C are simultaneously formed on the laminated body 29 by dicing using a dicing 33. On the laminated body 29, a through hole 3a is formed in one step by machining using a drill. The laminated body 29 is divided into the contact forming plates 27 after dicing and a plurality of contacts 1 are obtained.
