A multicast routing method is provided, which includes: a trigger information for triggering multicast group members to change status on a downstream interface is obtained from the downstream interface of a media gateway, the trigger information includes the first multicast group information; if the status changing of the multicast group member on the downstream interface causes the record of the device multicast members database to change, an upstream interface of the media gateway corresponding to the second multicast group information in the changed record is searched according to the corresponding relationship between the multicast group information and the upstream interface; the first information is constructed according to the changed record of the device multicasting members database, the first information includes the third multicast group information; the first information is transmitted to a upstream network corresponding to the upstream interface through the upstream interface. A media gateway, a media gateway controller, a multicast routing system, a computer program product and a computer readable storage medium could execute the above multicast routing method. And the multicast may process between the different networks by using the method. |
