MATERIAL FOR SEAWEED-DERIVED PRODUCT CONTAINING CONCENTRATED PHYSIOLOGICALLY ACTIVE SUBSTANCE, METHOD FOR PRODUCING THE SAME AND SEAWEED-DERIVED PRODUCT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new material for a seaweed-derived product containing concentrated physiologically active substances and produced without using an organic solvent, a method for producing the material and a seaweed-derived product using the material.

SOLUTION: The material for a seaweed-derived product which contains concentrated fat-soluble oil can be produced by incubating a finely cut seaweed in an aqueous solution, separating to a liquid component and a solid component, and removing water-soluble components, especially polysaccharides constituting the main component of seaweed. The ratio of the fat-soluble oil in the seaweed can be increased without using an organic solvent, and the product can be used for various applications including foods.
