<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display system capable of quickly acquiring and displaying information on each equipment existing in an HDMI network. <P>SOLUTION: The display system includes a display device and one or more pieces of external equipment that are mutually connected via an HDMI network. The display device includes: a storage unit for storing information on a broadcast program; a change situation reception unit for receiving channel information of a broadcast program which has changed in the external equipment and a change situation; and a situation display unit for referring to the storage unit to display the content of the broadcast program that has changed in the external equipment and the change situation from the channel information and current time information.
