摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust emission control device of an internal combustion engine capable of regenerating a DPF in a wide range. <P>SOLUTION: This exhaust emission control device of an engine 1 comprises: an upstream catalytic converter 11 on the upstream side more than a turbine 10; a catalyst bypass passage 18 bypassing the upstream catalytic converter 11; a catalyst bypass valve 19 for changing between the passage flowing into the upstream catalytic converter 11 and the bypass passage 18; and a downstream catalytic converter 12 installed on the downstream side of the turbine 10. The regenerating means of an ECU 40 performs a regenerating treatment for burning particulate by post-jetting a fuel. The exhaust passage changeover means of the ECU 40 drives the catalyst bypass valve 19 when the temperature of the downstream catalytic converter 12 is lower than an activation temperature while the regenerative treatment is performed to flow exhaust gas to the upstream catalytic converter 11, and when the temperature of the downstream catalytic converter 12 is more than the activation temperature, flows the exhaust gas to the catalyst bypass passage 18. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
