PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste heat recovery device capable of suppressing the rise of the temperature of the wall of an engine having Rankine cycle. SOLUTION: This waste heat recovery device 1 comprises a first bypass passage 25 bypassing a superheater 7 and a first three-way valve 26 installed at the branch point of the first bypass passage 25 and a steam route 6. The waste heat recovery device further comprises a second bypass passage 27 bypassing a heater 23 and a three-way valve 28 installed at the branch point of the second bypass passage 27 and a cooling water passage 10. The first three-way valve 26 and the second three-way valve 28 change over the flow passages of steam and cooling water according to the conditions of the engine.
