PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a construction member made of a steel plate, which can be excellently nailed fixedly with good appearance without incurring infiltration of rainwater and wobbling, even if the operator is not skilled. SOLUTION: The construction member 1 made of the steel plate, such as a verge drainboard, is obtained by bending a thin steel plate into a predetermined shape, and nailed fixedly to construction wood 2 such as an inclined beam, by a nail 3 driven from a plate surface of the steel plate. The construction member has a nail hole 13 formed in a plate surface of the steel plate, which consists of a core 13a almost equal to a shaft diameter of a nail leg 3a, and a dent 13b having the core 13a arranged at a concentric circle at the bottom center, and having a diameter and a depth almost equal to the diameter and thickness of a nail head 3b.
